Malaysia is a typically tropical country with temperatures ranging between 27 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius on a normal day. Many foreign visitors who are used to cold weather conditions and who visits Malaysia for the first time would perceive the weather as warm and humid. For those who love sunny weather, it is a haven especially for outdoor leisurely pursuits. For those who are particular about heat, however, they will find Malaysia friendly with air-conditions everywhere – in vehicles, in shopping centers, in hotels and in eating places.
The four seasons is non-existent in Malaysia and one could easily experience two or three different weather conditions in one day. Brief torrential rains are common in the months between November and January. The hotter months are usually around the middle part of the year.
The suggested choice of clothing should be light, short-sleeved and casual except for formal functions. It is always advisable to keep a collapsible umbrella handy to shield from both rain or sun when moving around outdoors.
